UNPACKED - A Shakespeare Adventure

It’s time to test your knowledge once again, with a brand spanking new episode of UNPACKED! The join in quiz show spin-off from Armchair Adventures!

 

Our host, Connie’s Uncle Chris, and his cheeky soundboard Ziggy will challenge adventurers at home and in the studio to ‘Unpack’ an Armchair Adventure through a series of silly games like ‘human sound effects’ and super tough quiz questions!

Welcome to the Armchair Adventures Travel Agency!

Step into the world of the Armchair Adventures Travel Agency! Join Chief Explorer Connie, her Uncle Chris and the crew of lovely explorer customers, little adventurers and special guests for a ‘journey of the imagination’.

Armchair Adventures is a join-in adventure series for kids aged 6-8. Each episode whisks you away on an adventure.

It’s made with real-life grannies and grandads and along the way, you’ll learn new things about people, history, science, and different cultures.
Every adventure bursts with join-in fun, from singing along to the catchy tunes, performing along and answering creative questions (listen out for the exciting DING! sound). Plus, with amazing sound effects that bring every adventure to life, you’ll feel like you’re right there with Connie and the crew!

…And now you can become an adventurer too with our Armchair Adventures Fan Club. We also have free activities and resources, an interactive art installation and an outreach programme for you to join-in with.

There are endless possibilities for your next adventure!

About Made By Mortals

We started working on Armchair Adventures in March 2020 with our theatre group of over 60s. Like many people, our community was suffering from isolation and loneliness because of lockdown. So, we wanted to create something that could boost wellbeing, be fun, and be able to be enjoyed by all of the family. Most importantly we wanted to design an experience that could be loved by anyone, at any time. Armchair Adventures was our response.

Each episode features the ideas, stories and voices of our over 60s theatre group.

In total, over 60 local older people and 25 local musicians, scriptwriters, producers, designers, filmmakers and actors make each series.
